Vacuum Technology and Welding Group (240/4) Researches
  • Low Temperature Vacuum chamber has been designed and fabricated to model universal space.
  • Taking into consideration energy conservation, vacuum chamber with a volume of 40 l including a node of liquid nitrogen has been designed and fabricated; it is located in the electron accelerator.
  • Radiation-exposed lead trolley for samples has been designed and fabricated.
  • Re-equipment of cooling and vacuum systems of ARUS accelerator was performed.
  • Structure stresses in joining points of dissimilar metals have been calculated taking into account their physical, mechanical, technological and exploitation characteristics (for copper and stainless steel).

Currently the main research and working topics of vacuum and welding Technology Group is following.

  • Design, modernization and fabrication of vacuum equipment, systems; (1)
  • Design and contribution of contemporary technology; (2 a,b)
  • Designing technological processes for welding; (3)
  • Developing precise brazing technology for UHV systems; (4)
  • High temperature bonding in vacuum and hydrogen environment; (5)
  • Diffusion welding for similar and dissimilar materials; (6)
